How ADONiS went live with SendNet in one week and saved 20% on shipping costs to the UK and the EU

ADONiS, founded in 2016 by Ingo Braeunlich, is on a mission to tackle excessive sugar consumption and offer plant-based, sustainable snacks. Since then they've sold more than 3 million vegan, keto-friendly and 100% natural bars.
When looking for a new fulfillment partner, the ADONiS team knew they needed an international player with sophisticated software to handle their volume across Great Britain and the EU, their multichannel setup and batch tracking. That's when they came across SendNet.
“We chose SendNet because we were impressed by their ability to handle D2C, as well as their experience preparing large orders with complex process requirements for retailers. It was the perfect match for us,” says Lara, COO of ADONiS.
One week of onboarding meant no downtime for ADONiS
Once the teams had agreed the partnership, onboarding for ADONiS took just one week. This was thanks to SendNet's direct Shopify integration, which means the two apps can be connected without writing any additional code.
“During the first onboarding call we'd already integrated our Shopify store,” Lara explains. “It was a straightforward process and meant we could get going right away.”
Onboarding that fast, plus a rapid inventory transfer, meant the ADONiS team had no downtime and could start saving on their UK and EU shipping costs as quickly as possible.
ADONiS saves 20% on shipping costs across the UK and the EU
ADONiS has seen great success in both the UK and EU markets and needed a partner who could give them the best possible international setup.
With SendNet's pan-European shipping (Pan-EU) logistics network, the ADONiS team can distribute their stock across the EU and the UK, giving them access to local delivery rates and times. SendNet also has competitive rates from the major last-mile delivery providers with bulk discounts. As a result, ADONiS saves an average of 20% on shipping costs across all markets.
"By using pan-European shipping (Pan-EU) we've seen significant cost savings in the form of lower shipping costs, customs clearance costs and overall logistics costs. On top of that, our customers get their parcels faster and with a local delivery experience. It's a win-win." - Lara.
Optimised D2C and B2B in one place
ADONiS is a multichannel brand working with retailers and distributors in the United Kingdom, Germany and Austria, facilitating those sales through Shopify.
“One of the reasons we chose SendNet was their multi-channel capabilities and experience preparing large orders with complex requirements for retailers,” Lara explains.
“In the SendNet App we can easily book B2B shipments with the right specifications for each retailer. That means we can manage multiple channels without having to go through an ERP system” – Lara.
Scalable batch tracking made simple with the SendNet App
As a food brand, ADONiS needed a partner who could offer comprehensive batch management to track and manage stock batches efficiently. With SendNet, the ADONiS team can easily monitor expiry dates, track product movements and ensure accurate order processing based on their batch-specific requirements.
“Finding a 3PL partner who could handle batch management was a critical factor in our decision-making process,” Lara explains. “Being able to manage expiring batches in the SendNet App lets us optimise both our D2C and B2B processes.”
A future together with further integrations
The ADONiS team is delighted with the weekly time savings they've achieved by working with SendNet, and is keen to invest that time in other projects.
“By automating order processing, streamlining inventory management and improving overall efficiency in our fulfillment operations, we save a substantial number of hours every week, letting us focus more on growing our business and serving our customers effectively,” says Lara.
So what's next for ADONiS and SendNet? The team is excited to use SendNet's Klaviyo integration to communicate with their customers. This integration means they can automate emails triggered by steps in the fulfillment process, such as when an order has been packed and shipped.
