Categories, letters and speed. We all have childhood memories of playing the categories game at school, at home, with friends and with family. The key word here is jeugd – what if there were an equivalent of this game to play at any age? Enter Crack List, created by the Faucon family to reimagine the popular game from our childhood as an original card game.

After launching Crack List in France, the Faucon family achieved huge success thanks to their disruptive, innovative model. Now they plan to win the German, Italian and other European markets the same way.

“Our 5-year goal is to position ourselves among the top 5 global publishers of nomadic travel board games,” explains Ambre, marketing manager at Crack List.

To achieve these goals, Crack List needed some support. To be able to focus on creating and marketing their board games, the Faucon family decided it was best to leave operations and logistics to the experts. That's where SendNet comes in.

Joining forces with SendNet

“We chose SendNet because it's a logistics company operating across several European markets, which meets our expansion needs,” Ambre explains.

But the international dimension wasn't the only reason the Faucon family chose to work with SendNet. They particularly valued the ease they found with SendNet. As Ambre explains, “the ease of integration between our website and SendNet's warehouse was a decisive factor for us.”

Easy integration makes cross-border logistics a breeze

With hopes of becoming one of the top 5 global board game publishers, expanding into other markets is crucial. Having won the French market, it was time for the next step: translating the game and expanding into more European countries.

Selling cross-border can normally be a time-consuming and highly stressful business. Thanks to SendNet's pan-European shipping (Pan-EU) setup, however, the team was able to enter the German and Italian markets seamlessly.

“SendNet has streamlined our development plans thanks to warehouses in every country. That let us enter both the German and Italian markets easily and effectively,” says Ambre.

With SendNet pan-European shipping (Pan-EU), Crack List saves 60% per order

The Crack List team was always aware of the high delivery costs of selling cross-border. To avoid them, they wanted to SendNet's pan-European shipping (Pan-EU) solution use to save these additional costs.

SendNet pan-European shipping (Pan-EU) makes cross-border selling easier by holding stock in SendNet's warehouses across Europe. Thanks to this solution, Crack List can ship German orders directly from Germany and Italian orders directly from Italy, without routing them through the warehouse in France.

This solution has cut the Faucon family's costs dramatically. As Ambre explains, "Pan-European shipping (Pan-EU) helps us save money because we work directly with local players in Germany and Italy instead of French ones, which lets us reduce our delivery costs."

By fulfilling and delivering German orders directly from their German fulfillment center, Crack List saves nearly €4 per German order and nearly €6 per Italian order. In fact, their delivery costs are almost 60% cheaper than shipping from France to Germany or France to Italy.

SendNet pan-European shipping (Pan-EU) helps Crack List cut delivery times by 2 days

The pan-European shipping (Pan-EU) solution doesn't just save on delivery costs — it also helps shorten delivery times for Crack List orders from Germany and Italy.

As Ambre explains: "Thanks to pan-European shipping (Pan-EU), our delivery times are genuinely short: 2 to a maximum of 3 days. Pan-European shipping (Pan-EU) let us cut delivery times by 2 days.".

This lets Crack List create a positive customer experience that increases loyalty to the brand.

The simplicity of the SendNet App makes it a firm favourite with the Faucon family

Being able to rely on the pan-European shipping (Pan-EU) solution to grow the brand internationally isn't the only benefit Crack List has found in working with SendNet. "Thanks to the intuitive user experience, the SendNet App makes it really easy to upload our various SKUs," Ambre explains.

The SendNet App has allowed the Crack List team to save time and effort on their growth plans.

“The restocking feature is one of the simplest to use. In just a few clicks we can plan a new restocking shipment. Once it's prepared in the SendNet App, all we have to do is coordinate with our production centre and it's done” – Ambre.

Ambre particularly likes the inventory feature, because “it gives us a global, immediate view of our stock levels. That lets us plan our restocking shipments and be highly responsive.” This feature makes inventory management easier and helps avoid stockouts.

SendNet makes simple B2B order fulfillment efficient

Alongside D2C orders, an important sales channel for board games is selling through larger retail stores such as la Fnac (particularly in France). Being able to distinguish between B2B and D2C orders was therefore an essential criterion for Crack List's 3PL, because it saves both time and money.

SendNet implemented a solution to fulfill both order types separately. “Creating B2B or B2C orders is one of the most user-friendly features of the SendNet App.” – Ambre.

As Ambre explains, this streamlined process means “we can easily prepare for large B2B orders, which are then processed and ready to ship within a day. That saves us a lot of time every day.”

A partnership built for growth

In the near future, Crack List plans to keep growing in the German and Italian markets and is exploring the possibility of growing elsewhere in Europe. These aren't their only plans, though.

The ambitious Faucon family plans to launch a new game, “Crack Word”, in France first. They expect to follow the same roadmap as their Crack List game and start selling Crack Word in other European countries — namely Germany and Italy — from 2024.
